The apapane is a bright red bird that is endemic to Hawaii. It is a type of honey creeper and flits along from lehua blossom to lehua blossom it is a medium sized bird

Habitat:

This was found at Volcano National Park . The park has lush vegetation and a large number of tall lehua trees.
