Field Notes

Description:

Size: about the size of a skipper (butterfly). Antennae: feathered like a moth. Time Spotted: Noon. Where: Gravel path. Sitting or resting position: neither outward like a moth nor upwards like a butterfly, but rather a "V" position (see 2nd photograph). Colors: black overall with white and orange patches. It also had a colorful glitter to it.
