Field Notes

Description:

Small metallic green bee (about the size of a cooked grain of rice.) Gathering pollen and nectar on a warm May day. This individual was found on a Yellow Mustard flower which is a none-native invasive species.

Habitat:

Found in a fescue (non-native grass) grassland, near an oak forest.
