Description:
The long spoon-shaped bills on these northern shovelers give them a front-heavy look. The male is colorful and the female is brown. These northern shovelers were feeding in the marsh along with several other species of shorebirds. They were interesting to watch in their natural habitat.
Habitat:
St Marks National Wildlife Refuge in St Marks, Florida
