Field Notes

Description:

The underside of the wings is pale grayish with brown lines. The forewings have a large, bi-pupilled, yellow-ringed subapical ocellus. The hind wing has 6 yellow ringed ocelluses. The pair of rings at the tornus of the hindwing is counted as one. It is a species of butterfly from the family of Nymphalidae.

Habitat:

Roadside on low vegetation.
