Description:
Brown moth with distinctive circles on the upper 1/3 of the upper wings. There are also similar circles in the same place on the underwings as can be seen in pictures 2 and 3, the rest of the underwings are a pale tan color (picture 1). The legs are hairy and held forward of the head at rest. About 1.5 cm long. Family Lymantriidae.
Habitat:
Came to an ultraviolet light, Finca Argovia, Ruta de Café, Soconusco Area of Chiapas, about 2 hours north of Tapachula.
