Description:

Female Barn Swallows are duller in color but in it's own right still beautiful. With the pale rufous color on the throat, chest and belly to it's dark brown back and wings. Barn Swallows male or female will have dark shoulders that reach to the collar. Last photo it she was resting with a male Tree Swallow.

Habitat:

This one was the only Barn Swallow in the area near a tidal pond. Tree Swallow boxes nearby.
