Description:

According to the EPBC Act this subspecies is classified as Vulnerable. The Black-footed Rock-wallaby is "...dark grey-brown in colour with a distinct white cheek-stripe. A dark brown to black stripe is visible from between the ears to beyond the shoulders. The coat is thick and woolly, and the tail is brownish-grey with a black tip...The long tail [see pic 2], up to 605 mm long, is important for balance when hopping among rocks..." (Department of Environment)

Habitat:

Chillin' on the rock ledge, while it rains, in Yardie Creek Gorge - Cape Range National Park.
