Description:

16-20 inches. narrow, dark bill, male with white breast and black edge, white crest (down), female with tawny crest and gray breast.

Habitat:

Great Lake Averill

Notes:

I found it difficult to ID these ducks. Usually they are easy to ID when the male opens his white crest. Notice the white band on the head of the male.
