Description:

This species of cuckoo in the Cuculidae family got its common name from the scale-like feathers on its head. It makes metallic whistles while flitting through tree branches. It is endemic to the Philippines.

Habitat:

Tropical forest.

Notes:

Distribution: Luzon, Marinduque and Catanduanes, in N Philippines.
