Thank you very much Cody. Unfortunately this is the only shot I could get of the bird. I did think the Savannah Sparrow had too much of a yellow eyeline for this to be it. I did not recognize the extreme sexual dimorphism in House Sparrows. I completely agree with your suggestion. Thank you again.
I am actually seeing more of a female House Sparrow out oft his angle. . . do you have any other shots, like a clear shot of the chest? Note that Savannah Sparrows eyelines do not extend as far back as this birds, and are more yellow in appearnace. This eyeline, from this shot, I would gather as more buffy in appearance. Hope this helps.
