I'll take it a step further and say it's either Tradescantia occidentalis or Tradescantia ohiensis. Tradescantia ohiensis is usually found in the eastern Kansas, while Tradescantia occidentalis is usually found in the western part. You seem to be in the middle, so.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
