Description:

This little wren did not fly away and eyed us very closely. Only until we were within arms reach did it fly away

Habitat:

Mountain trail dominated by short shrubs and plants and the occasional short tree such as the alder in the photos.

Notes:

Formerly thought to be the same species as the Winter Wren (Troglodytes hiemalis), but wasa split into its own species when scientists discovered they do not interbreed.
