This is a female! These beautiful Scarlet Percher "females are pale yellow to yellow-brown, with black markings on each abdominal segment. Wingspan to 3.5 cm [1.5 inches]." (Atlas of Living Australia)

Habitat:

Resting on the ground at Mt Hart.
