Description:

Lizard was about 3 inches long. It had a crest near its head and a fin like crest along its back. Nice, distinctive yellow patterning along the sides and back.

Habitat:

Near ponds of wooded areas.

Thanks for the help. I found some good lookalikes.
Well actually you should look at these examples of crests on brown anoles first before you decide. Things to consider as well are head shape, and whether a juvenile B. vittatus has developed a crest at 3 inches long. Scott, The anole does not have the crest. I have been favoring the brown basilisk. Following my post, I found a photo of the brown basilik and it this one bears a great similarity. Thanks. Unless l hear other otherwise, I will update to brown change to brown basilik.
