Field Notes

Description:

Can be variable in colours from brown, orange, green and yellow.
They are easily identified by their slender and elongated body and long beak which is jagged, hence its name - Sawblade. Size up to 5 cm.
Occelated Sawblade Shrimp is easily identified from the 2 circles on each side of their body.

Habitat:

Found on rope sponges, algae and sometimes seagrass blades.
They feed on parasites, algae and plankton.
