Description:

This particular Napoleon Wrasse - Cheilinus undulatus was huge in size, nearly 2 meters length.
They are listed as Endangered due to their declining numbers and illegal taking by fisherman as this fish is considered a delicacy and highly sought after among Chinese communities in China. Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Thanks, @Daniele for another SOTD :) Thanks too, @Leuba and yes, very unfortunate as this Napoleon Wrasse is an endangered species. Fortunately, where I saw this one, Sipadan Island, Malaysia it is at a marine protected area and have seen more of them in recent years than in many years ago on the island.
Congratulations Albert ! A gentle giant...but every time I see pics of some wonderful creature I worry that some stupid human is eating it to extinction somewhere.
