Description:

colourful bug as in the photo

Habitat:

Grounds of Fazenda Montanhas do Japi near Jundiaí, a nature reserve type spot at around 850 m.

Notes:

Possibly a soldier beetle in Chauliognathus genus it seems.

Thank you. They seem to vary in looks and this is certainly similar. I know nothing about such things and was looking for a pretty exact match.
