Description:
This bird measures 12 cm and weighs 15 g (male). The species shows sexual dimorphism: the male has blue-metallic tops, a yellow stain on the forehead and yellow bottoms and the female has the upper parts olive and bottom with lighter shades.
Habitat:
It can be found in forest edges throughout Brazil except in savanna vegetation areas and dense forests.
