Field Notes

Description:

This is actually my second fairy cactus. My first one is large and a lot less clustered than this one. The fairy castle cactus is a miniature cultivar of the plant. It has a lot of funny common names. Among these being sword pear and dildo cactus. That's great.

Habitat:

Native to southern Florida and the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas in the United States, Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, and northern South America.
