Field Notes

Description:

Bushy, about 28" tall. Flowers bright yellow, about 3/4" across. Bracts underneath are scaly. Stems are hairy with a white "fuzz". as is the midrib of the leaf. Base of the Leaf clasps the stem, with no petiole ("leaf stem").

Is this a Goldenaster? If so, which one?

Notes:

The GPS position on my new camera is insisting that I took these pics at 4 different places. But I didn't. All from the same plant in my backyard. Hmmm.

I'm thinking this may be a Goldenaster--- Chrysopsis... Anyone confirm with a species? I've found C. linearifolia. And C. scabrella.
