Description:

Series: I had spotted this coyote, or what I thought looked like one, earlier in the day but was unable to photograph it before it vanished into the woods. Then upon my leaving later in the day, I spotted it again and decided to stick around for a little while longer to observe. Although it kept me at a little distance, I was now close enough to positively identify it as a coyote and not a dog. It showed no signs of aggression or fear, but rather just a general curiosity as to what I was doing or why I had stopped. During the 30 minutes or so that I observed it, it laid down facing me, got up, urinated, sniffed around, all while keeping a close eye on me. It wasn't until I stood up and started to walk away, that it disappeared back into the woods.
