Field Notes

Description:

Two eaglets (whom I've named Pip & Squeak) were hatched to this pair who nest along the Shark River (Jersey Shore) NJ.

They are approximately three weeks old, are now visible just above the rim of the nest, and have started testing out their wings.

The second photo shows one of the parents bringing lunch to the nest (one of the eaglets is visible on the right).

Habitat:

Nesting above the Shark River (Jersey Shore NJ)
