Field Notes

Description:

Looks kind of like a miniature red tail hawk.

Habitat:

Northwest high desert regions.

Notes:

This little guy was found next to a Cobb house that my dad and I are building. We don't know if he was injured of if he was just staying there until the wind died down( it was extremely windy that day).

He was forced into this spot by the wind.
This is an American kestrel :) Could you explain what's going on in the spotting for us? Has this little guy been injured, or is he captive?
