Field Notes

Description:

I resident of the Oregon cascades, that periodically has an irruptive year causing adults to wander down to the coast. The last irruptive year was when I moved here. I'd seen a few at home, but couldn't get a picture.

Habitat:

Cape Perpetua

Notes:

larva eat ceanothus and in a heavy year can strip the high scountry bushes down to twigs.
