Field Notes

Description:

Underparts are bright yellow, wings black with bold white uneven stripey pattern.

Habitat:

I have seen this bird flitting around the tops of a tree (with small insignificant flowers) growing on the banks of a waterbody near my house. It is extremely restless. Never still for a moment. After months of persistence, today I could manage six or seven shots of which only two (with zoom) were OK enough to be posted after cropping a bit.

Notes:

Photik-jol in Bangla.
People go to specific areas to spot this bird...I am so lucky it came to visit where I stay. My birdwatcher friends are pretty green at the moment!
