Black Coral Crab
Quadrella maculosa
13.7551, 120.907
Field Notes
Description:
Small crab, around 1.5 cm width, usually living in its Black Coral, hence its name. This one was seen during a night dive perching at the tip of the coral for feeding. She is also carrying eggs. During the dive, I didn't noticed the eggs at all as they are so tiny.
Habitat:
Usually found among Black Corals but can be difficult to Spot as they are very small and well camouflaged among the host Black Corals.
Notes:
New Organism to Project Noah
