One of many crabs I found crawling around the rocks. I found a couple colorful ones such as this one

It sure does look like a shore crab, they mostly have square bodies. Maine is known for the green shore crab. OTOH, there's also an Asian shore crab that is now considered an invasive species, so you might want to check that out also. http://greennature.com/article16.html
