Field Notes

Description:

About 5cm long in some cases with yellow spines and white dashes along the sides of the body.

Habitat:

Found feeding on the Cecropia peltata tree. This particular tree was a sapling.

Notes:

Very similar to the larvae of the Colobura annulata whose larvae looks like this just with shorter yellow spines and white stripes from left to right across the back of the caterpillars.
