Description:
Readily identifiable by their narrow, strongly serrated leaves in a stacked-arrow shape. The prominent fuzzy yellow flower-heads are readily identifiable, as are fuzzy seed-head dandelion 'clocks' or 'blowheads' (not shown here. Often grow short in lawns, but may reach surprising heights if left in disturbed.

A rather under-appreciated plant.
The entire plant is edible and is additionally touted as having medicinal properties.
Tender young leaves are the most commonly used edible part, even making their way into commercial salad mixes.
Dandelions do naturally produce latex, which can be a potential hazard to individuals with latex allergies.
