Field Notes

Description:

Small white capped mushroom. Cap itself is rigged, similar to an umbrella. Sprouted over night in a biodegradable, seed starting, pot.

Using a store bought bagged potting soil. May have hitched a ride on a piece of bark, as it seems to be growing out of a piece just below the surface.

Don't recall seeing any white granules, and wife discarded it before I had a chance to get a closer picture of it. Heh Thanks for the response.
Most likely a Parasola species. If there are fine white granules on the cap then it is Coprinellus.
