Field Notes

Description:

Light brown snake with yellowish stripe on side and yellowish underside. Medium sized (I can't guess its length accurately enough). These snakes like to live near water. They're good swimmers and eat mainly crayfish.

Habitat:

Edge of Candler Lake at Emory. Found resting on a thick branch low over the water. When disturbed, it slid off the branch into the water.
