Field Notes

Description:

Long tailed green parrot with a yellow ring on the hindneck. 28 form has a black head, red patch on forehead, green belly and calls '28'.

Habitat:

Confined to the forested southwest of Australia. Spotted at Pemberton.

Notes:

These guys were the rainbow lorikeets of the south west.

Yes you're right! Argy. Sorry about the quality of the photo but I've been trawling through all my older shots when the camera I owned did not match my need to take nature shots.
Good spotting Kerry. That colour mix says 'sandgroper' perfectly. :)
