Description:
This deciduous shrub (~ 5 ft.) has small, long bell or urn-shaped white to very light pink flowers. The flowers are 0.33 inches (8.4 mm) long. This is a species of blueberry (Vaccinium ssp) and is likely Highbush Blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum), but it could be a similar species.
Habitat:
Observed growing in the open in a moist area on the dam of a pond. This one was photographed at Silver Bluff Audubon Center near Jackson (Aiken County), SC.
