Description:

This small Mantid has pale twig coloration and a head so small that I thought at first the head was missing. It was about 5 cm long and appears to have wings tightly rolled against the body.

Habitat:

On the trunk of a tree, forested area of the Miguel Alvarez del Toro Zoo, Tuxtla Gutierrez.

Hi Mr. Goldfish. Microcephalus just means an abnormally small head.
