Field Notes

Description:

2cm umbrella. Off-white with pink bloom. White gills and thick white stem. Unable to find a scent. Velvety (like normal edible mushroom)

Habitat:

Almost buried in moist leaf-litter under gum trees and among roots. Very wet season this year. Dappled sun with more sun than shade. Just out of sight is the huge root of a long established Red Gum that protects this specimen from the traffic that has been along the trail since it emerged. It sits in a depression beside the root and hard against it

Notes:

New photos added. Can I name this a Rassula?
