Description:

Male mallard ducks are very distinguishable from females. The males have a green head while females have a brown color the same as their body. Females have orange beaks while males have yellow beaks. Both sexes are almost 2 feet long and weigh 2-4 pounds.

Habitat:

The mallard duck is found in many places across our planet. They live in many different climates. These ducks migrate north to south before winter. They live in fresh and some salt water wetlands. These areas include ponds, lakes, rivers, and estuaries.
