Description:

Is 3 leaved with a single point on each. Can have a red, purple, pink, or white flower. Only one flower is produced per plant. The flower has no odor. Each flower has 3 petals and 6 stamens surrounded by a whorl of 3 smaller leaves.

Habitat:

It favors deciduous forests in Eastern North America.
