Description:

This Toucan possibly touched his beak on a eletric grid, which caused the deformity. A person found it fallen and brought it to the zoo to be careful. Now, it has learned to adptar its beak and uses normally, but possibly, it not survive in nature in these conditions.
"Toco Toucans" are very loud communicators with various means of sound production. Their repertoire consists of deep, course croaking that is repeated on a consistent basis. A rattling call is also a common form of conversation in this species. Besides vocal communication, they use bill-clacking as a form of auditory communication. Like all birds, "Toco Toucans" perceive their environment through visual, auditory, tactile, and chemical stimuli. In Brazil, also known how "Tucanuçu" and "tucanaçu", that come from Tupi "tukanu'su", that means "Big Tucan".

Habitat:

They are native to the countries of Argentina, Peru, French Guiana, Bolivia, Paraguay, Suriname, and Brazil. Regions such as woodland, savanna, plantations, and other regions that consist of scattered trees.

So "Maria dB", this Toucan is already in rehab for a long time. Unfortunately, the conditions of the beak even if adapted, it can't be released. It is an animal that no longer survives in the wild. It can only feed on cut fruit. Its beak allows only survive in captivity, taking specific care with feeding. It's able to adapt, but with specific conditions.
Great spotting. It would be interesting if you could return some time in the future to see if it is adapting to the injury and to ask if it can ever be released.
