Description:

This is a Eurasian Collared-dove. It is plump with a cream color with a black band around the top of its neck. Eurasian Collared doves are closely related to Mourning Doves and make a distinct call that sounds similar to that of an owl.

Habitat:

Eurasian Collared-doves are commonly found in urban and rural places. They can be found just about any where in the United States, but are not found in the northeast. They are commonly found on farms or pastures where food is abundant.
