Description:

If I'm right this is a Yellow Fever Mosquito and it's bad news.They didn't lived here, but the winters are not as cold as they used to be and many organism are moving to the area now. Aedes aegypti is a vector for transmitting several tropical fevers including Zika.

Habitat:

In my garden in a big urban area.

Yes, this is Aedes aegypti. You can confirm this by the lyre shape on the thorax, white clypeus, white tips on maxillary palpomeres, and white hind tarsomeres, among other features. Their populations in the Americas was severly reduced in the 1990's due to strict eradication programs, but unfortunately, a lack of continued commitment to mosquito abatement programs in the past decade has led to a reinfestation in most of its pre-eradication range.
