Field Notes

Description:

Small bright yellowish green caterpillar (app 2cm long) with pale stripes from front to back and minute pale spots/speckles; light green head, bump on rump but no discernible tail.

Habitat:

Found eating flowers of wild native azalea (Rhododendron canescens).

Notes:

Spotted along the trail at the Allatoona Pass Battlefield.
