Field Notes

Description:

Looks very much like a wild strawberry, but with a yellow flower instead of white. The berries were about 12 mm (0.5 in) across. They are edible, but they have very little flavor. To view the 3D photos, get at least 50 cm (1 ft 8 in) from your monitor, (make sure to look directly at the monitor, not from the side) and cross your eyes just enough to bring the 2 photos together. You should see 3 photos and look at the "center" one. It may take a few seconds to become clear and 3D.

Habitat:

In a lightly wooded area.
