Description:

A tiny fly. Less than 1cm. long. Black. The abdomen is long with black and grey stripes. It has pincher like appendages at the end, for clasping on during mating. The wings a transparent.
It's antennae are feathery like.

Habitat:

Found in backyard on house wall

This is a male midge(family:Chironimidae). THe pinchers at the end are used for clasping during mating.
