Field Notes

Description:

Subadult skink showing the blue tail and brightness of lines. Spotted two of these blue-tailed skinks and another that was entirely brown.

Habitat:

Leaf litter next to a wooden fencing. On University of Missouri's College of Veterinary Medicine campus.

Notes:

Very feisty, and body makes an 'S' shape when running. Identified with Peterson's Field Guide to Reptiles and Amphibians of Central and Eastern North America.
