Description:

Medium sized; scraggy, buff-grey coat interspersed with black hair especially on the back; head and sides of the legs are tawny red; underside, throat and areas around the eyes and lips are white; bushy tail with black tip
Photo taken at Keoladeo National Park, Rajasthan, India

Habitat:

Forest; grasslands, mangroves, urban and semi-urban areas.
Found throughout India except the high Himalayas
