Field Notes

Habitat:

Common across extreme southern portions of the United States. At home in most open, sunny habitats, it frequents roadsides, disturbed sites, fields, open woodlands, pastures, yards, and parks.

Notes:

Here is an adult seen yesterday at Oleta park but not in the butterfly garden where I found some of their caterpillars, rather the adults seem to prefer more open field areas.
