Description:

A well-deserved break! This dung beetle had a breather while doing a hand stand on its ball of dung. The beetle was about 17mm long, glossy black with the typical shovel-like head.

Habitat:

Found in 'El Cimatario', a national park in semi-arid area just outside the city. The rainy season is now in full swing and many animals are venturing out.
