Field Notes

Description:

The toxins in these Slugs are like soldiers of a special forces unit that go into your body and hack into the communications system. The molecules bind with specific points in the nervous system and change the signal, they can for example switch your muscles to ‘constantly on’ so that you twitch uncontrollably or your muscles contract and stay contracted so parts of you become stiff like a board. You might seem restless or exceedingly drunk or crazy and if they infiltrate a vital organ; you might become paralysed and die. Guardian: Nikalina O’Brien

Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
