Description:

Clay hole protruding from the ground. Some of these were tall, while others were just a hole in the ground.

Habitat:

Low lying, wet ground. Open field, almost marshy.

Good Call. I didn't know what category to put it in when I didn't know what it was, and didn't think to change it after I found out.
Crayfish chimney seems right! Thank you! I didn't know crayfish did that. I didn't see any couple feet, but there were some getting close to a foot.
Cool spotting! Maybe a crayfish chimney? They can get up to a couple feet tall, I think.
I wonder what it is it looks cool.
